Krill and The Flintstones

PAST HAS NEVER BEEN SO MODERN The Flintstones is an animated sitcom produced by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera for ABC. Originally broadcast from 1960 to 1966 and set in the fictional stone-age town of Bedrock, the series revolves around the daily life of the titular family and their neighbors, the “Rubbles”. Like the Flintstones, which represented a very archaic past in an almost futuristic way, Krill lamps embody a futuristic tradition. The name itself of the collection, “Neo Veteres”, is a poignant oxymoron meaning “the new old”, referring to the classic aesthetics that incorporates a new functionality and vice versa. Amongst Krill lamps,...

The typical vegetation of the jungle includes deciduous plants and tree species such as teak, sandalwood, rubber plant, acacias, but especially lianas and epiphytic plants. When we think about the jungle we visualize the scenes...

Krill’s recipes

Today we talk about corn starch, an ingredient for cakes, syrups, sauces and… the future. A little bit of history… Corn starch is a wonderful invention whose applications stretch from cooking to furniture industry. Krill Design and the courage of uniqueness

When you get out of the box and the clichés, you create a new language. This is the case of Rei Kawakubo, artistic director and mind behind the historic fashion brand Comme de Garçons, born in Tokyo but soon adopted by the international fashion as an example of creativity beyond trends and conventions. Like Rei Kawakubo, Krill Design thinks for itself and follows its own philosophy....
